This is a 10 day cultural Safari taking you Uganda's prime cultural locations and attractions. Uganda is not only rich in nature and wildlife, but also has an undiscovered, fascinating cultural heritage. Four major kingdoms and well-established chiefdoms are found in Uganda, all with their own different habits and lifestyles. Our cultural safaris give you the chance to explore the real Africa and learn about the wide, fascinating culture of the tribes in Uganda.
Visit Kampala for an introduction with some interesting, historical sites. Marvel at the Source of the Nile where Speke discovered the true origin of the river Nile. Follow the green trail to life in the Rwenzori Mountains and explore the culture from the different tribes.
Day 1: Arrival
Meet and greet at the airport, transfer to Kampala and check in at your hotel for overnight stay. B,B
Day 2: Kampala (L,D)
Explore the city by visiting Owino Market. Have a city tour and visit interesting places like Bahai temple, old Kampala mosque, Namirembe /Rubaga cathedrals and Kabaka's lake. In the evening, clients can attend the family nights on Sunday at Ndere cultural centre. A variety of traditional dances are performed and buffet is served for dinner.

Day 3: Kampala – Lake Mburo National Park ( B,L,D)
Drive westwards on to lake Mburo national park with a stop at the equator for photographs/souvenirs. Game viewing enroute as you drive to the lodge. Check in at Rwakobo rock for overnight stay.
Day 4: Nshenyi Village (B,L,D)
Visit to Nshenyi village. On a normal day, one can involve him/herself in a range of activities like joining the pastoralists as they are grazing the cows, Sit in an enchanting traditional hut and watch as the milk is turned in to ghee. The enjoyable process takes 25 to 45 minutes and involves physical exercise especially in the arms, learning how to prepare a traditional meal like Posho and matooke, Visit one of the native people, the Bahima and experience the lifestyle of these traditional people. Overnight stay at Rwakobo rock lodge.
Day 5: Lake Mburo – Kabale ( B,L,D)
Late breakfast and transfer to Kabale with a stop at Igongo cultural centre. The facility has got a Museum which presents ancient history and cultures of the people. It's divided into skills, family, community, clans and social organization Legends, politics and leadership, famous people. It has also got arts and performances, traditional and modern cuisine (restaurant), crafts and gardens.
Arrive late in the afternoon and check in at Cephas Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 6: Kabale – Lake Bunyonyi (B,L,D)
Early breakfast at the hotel and later visit the school. Here you will get the chance to interact with the African children, teach a song or dance with them. You will also help with gardening and end the hunger in Africa. Leave Kabale to Lake Bunyonyi. Arrive in the evening at Natures Prime Island for overnight stay.
Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi (B,L,D)
Early breakfast and go for a 5 hour Bunyonyi trek which includes casual hiking, dugout canoeing, spectacular views of the lake and lake stories, primary school fun, visit to a traditional healer and craft maker.
Overnight stay at Natures Prime Island.
Day 8: Lake Bunyonyi – Bwindi Forest (B, L, D)
Late breakfast and transfer to Bwindi forest, home of half of the world's remaining population of the rare mountain Gorillas. On our way we pass through interesting villages and see some beautiful landscapes .Depending on the group of gorillas you will be tracking we will choose where to sleep in Bwindi. There are 3 areas for Gorilla tracking in Bwindi: Buhoma, Ruhija and Nkuringo.
Day 9 : Bwindi Forest ( B,L,D)
Transfer to the park headquarters for an early briefing from the guides. Start guided gorilla tracking which lasts between 2 to 8 hours depending on where the gorillas built a nest the previous night. For conservation purposes, time allowed with the gorillas is 1 hour. Optional walk through the Batwa tribal village and community in case of a free afternoon.

Day 10: Bwindi – Kampala (B, L, D)
Early morning breakfast and drive through Ishahsa to Kampala. Check in at hotel in Kampala/ Entebbe for overnight stay.
