    Day 1: Arrival + Addis

    A representative from Tangible Ethiopia Tours  welcomes you on your arrival at Addis Ababa Bole  International Airport and transfer to hotel, refreshment.

    Day 2: Addis Ababa

    After breakfast, visit historical sites in Addis Ababa including the National archaeological  museum, where we will view the 3.6 million years old remains of ‘’lucy’’ whose skeletal when discovered in 1974.you will also visit the Ethnological museum at Addis Ababa University and Mount Entoto which rise up to an altitude of3,200 meters and offers the panoramic view of the capital and continue to visit the Merkato-the largest open-air market in Africa.

    Day 3: Addis – Debre Markos

    After your breakfast, drive to DebreMarkos via Dejen which is the famous Tefff growing region in the country, Teff is a staple food for Ethiopians. After 107km drive from Addis Ababa, Visit the 13th Century Monastery of Debre Libanos,one of the largest and biggest Ethiopian monastery ,further down you will enjoy  the Fabulous Blue Nile Gorge similar to the Grand canon of U.S.A.

    Day 4: Debre Markos – Bahir Dar

    Drive from Debremarkos to BahirDar, after having lunch near by the lake, you will drive to the former Emperior Haile Sellasies palace ( not open for public) for it’s panoramic view to  see the outlet of the Blue Nile river, the island monasteries on lake Tana and BahirDar town, you will also visit the Market where you find people making cushions or lunch box from papyrus plant and  papyrus boat still used for fishing, transporting fire wood and even oxen.

    Day 5: Bahir Dar

    After breakfast, a boat ride trip on Ethiopia’s largest water body-Lake Tana (3,666kmsq) to visit the island monasteries of Ura-Kidanmerit (14th CenturyAD) and Azwa Mariam (14th Century AD) after lunch proceed your trip to visit Tisisat named after the waterfalls of the Blue Nile River (the Life blood for the Sudanese& Egyptians)

    Day 6: Bahir Dar – Gondar (UNESCO World Heritage Site)

    In the Morning we drive to Gondar on a beautiful Ethiopian African landscape, over wide grazing land, hilly mountains with numerous farm lands. In the afternoon, visit the Royal Enclosure that is surrounding by high stone walls containing the 17th Century Palaces of King Fasilades, King Iyasu and Qeen Mintewab and different other Kings buildings) of Gondar which is registered  by UNESCO as a world heritage site, Emperor Fasildes Bath (that is filled with water for the important Timket (epiphany)  Ceremony once a year), the residences of Empress Mintwab and the church of DebreBirhan  Sellasie which is famous for its wall and ceiling paintings.

    Day 7: Gondar – Simien Mountains National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site)

    Drive from Gondar to Debark (the head quarter of the Simien mountain National Park) to compete  the formalities and for checkIn to the hotel at Debark, continue to drive 36km farther to  the Simien mountainsto visit the endemic mammals of Ethiopia-the Gelada Baboon (Guaranteed to be seen),and the breathtaking scenery of the simein mountains.

    Day 8: Simien Mountains National Park - Axum ((UNESCO World Heritage Site)

    After breakfast, drive to Axum-the Earliest Capital of Ethiopia through the views of the Simien mountain and the Tekeze Valley. Axum-home of the ancient Ax umite empire, the Queen of Sheba and the Ark of the covenant.

    Day 9: Axum

    Axum-recognized in1980 by UNESCO as a world heritage site besides a testament to the rich  and glorious past of the mighty kingdom of Axum(2nd century BC-700 A.D).This morning the  visit will start with the famous stelae field with its Axumite stelae in various sizes and  shapes.

    The Archeological museum offers an opportunity to bring context to relics on view today. Afternoon,visit the Kaleb and Gebremeskel tombs,dating to the  6th century A.D ,the Ezana inscriptions (Ethiopia’s Rosetta stone)is worth visiting.

    Tradition believes that the Arkof the covenant was brought to Ethiopia in the 10th century. B.C by Minilik the first and later Ethiopian Kings and Emperors would  proclaim their legitimacy to rule by their lineage to king Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.

    Day 10: Axum - Mekelle

    After breakfast drive through the historical town of Adwa, this is the major African battle field. Drive to the very small town of Yeha to visit the 5th century B.C imposing ruins of Yeha’s temple. It was a large pre-Christian temple consisting of a single oblongchamber. The temple is believed to be the oldest standing building in the country.

    Continue driving to Mekele-the capital of Tegray region en route visit Rock church of Wekro Cherkos.

    Day 11: Mekelle – Lalibela (UNESCO World Heritage Site)

    The day is dedicated to drive Lalibela through Wello Mountainous roads.

    Day 12: Lalibela

    Today we visit the first group of six churches lie in rock cradles one behind the other: Bet Golgotha, Bet Mika'el, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danaghel and Bet Medhane Alem.

    Bet Medhane Alem, the largest one, is built like a Greek Temple and its stone floor is  so polished by the countless numbers of visitors that it reflects shafts of light from  apertures in the walls high above. In a corner are three empty graves symbolically dug for biblical patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

    Day 13: Lalibela

    After breakfast a mule ride to the 13thc rock hewn monastery of Asheten Mariam.The church is situated on a top of a mountain at an altitude of 3,150 metres. This will take about 4 hours.

    We return back to the town for lunch. In the afternoon, visit of the other groups of Rock churches of Lalibela Bet Giyorgis, possibly the mostelegant of all the Lalibela churches, lies somewhat isolated in the southwest part of thevillage on a sloping rock terrace.

    It can only be reached through a tunnel. The group of four, south of the Jordan River,  comprise of Bet Emanuel, Bet Mercurios,Bet Abba Libanos and Bet Gabriel-Rufa'el.  Bet Emanuel's elaborate exterior is much praised by art historians.

    Day 14: Lalibela – Dessie

    After breakfast drive through the highland area of Delb where you can see the dramatic Ethiopian Landscape. Stop over at Hike town to visit the 13th C monastery of Hike Istifanos (open only for Men)on the island of Lake Hike. Proceed to Dessie  and overnight at Sunny-side Hotel or Similar

    Day 15: Dessie – Addis + Departure 

    In the morning have a breakfast and head to AddisAbaba.Enroute have a visit to  the Itailian made tunnel and the mouth of the Rift valley systematic a place  called ‘’Tarmaber’’ Evening a fare well dinner party in one of the traditional Ethiopian restaurant. Then transfer to Bole International  Airport for your flight back home.
